Year 10 Information Night – watch on YouTube

More than 60 families attended our Year 10 Information Evening last week and it was fantastic to see so many enthusiastic conversations surrounding subject selection.

If you were unable to attend or would like to revisit the key concepts we shared, you are welcome to view a recording of the presentation BELOW

Additionally, attached abovis a copy of the agenda, which contains a list of all 45 courses on offer for our Year 11 cohort in 2025 and the contact details of our Heads of Learning Area and Subject Coordinators who can assist with any course selection queries/questions or concerns that you might have.

I would also like to thank our Year 10 students for their conduct and effort during this week's examination period. This is the first time that our Year 10 students have engaged in formal examinations, in the same way that 70 per cent of the final marks a student on an ATAR pathway receives.

This experience is designed to help students understand this assessment format and assist with their subject selection process.

I hope all Year 10 students have a well-deserved break this weekend as we near the end of Semester One studies.

Semester One Reports

Many of our Year 7-12 courses have concluded their suite of assessments for Terms One and Two. Semester One reports will be available on SEQTA Engage and SEQTA Learn as we approach the end of the term

On these reports, students will receive a progressional grade and percentage score for each academic course, outlining their progress at the mid-year mark of their studies. Additionally, similar to interim reports, the Semester One report will contain Learner Attributes for each course, aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of a students development in key areas:

•          Demonstrates organisational skills

•          Uses class time effectively

•          Works collaboratively when                           required

•          Works independently when                           required

•          Works to the best of their ability

We look forward to sharing this feedback with you and supporting your child's growth and success throughout their educational journey.

Year 11 course changes

A reminder that all Year 11 students are welcome to apply for a Semester Two course changes by collecting a form outside my office on Level 1. These forms will be processed up until the end of Week 1 in Term Three.

Due to SCSA deadlines, please note that students will be unable to change courses again until the end of Year 11 in 2024.
