During our MARC sessions we were lucky to have local author, Di Hickleton visit us. Students learnt about the animals at Butleigh Farm and the process involved in publishing a book.
Emma:
THE BIG FREEZE
1. My highlight was watching the teachers jump in the cold water❄️
2. The big freeze to me means all the teachers jumping in icy water to fight MND
3. Next year, I would like to see a bigger pool so there will be a bigger splash💦
4. I can help the fight against MNB by buying a beanie.
Sienna:
BIG FREEZE!!!
1. My highlight was seeing all the teachers jump into the freezing cold water
2. The big freeze to me means that all the teachers are helping fight MND.
3. Next year I would like to see a bigger pool so the teachers can make a bigger SLASH🧊💦🧊
4. I can help the fight against MND by donating money to the big freeze!!!

My highlights:
1 Seeing the teachers jump in ice cold water and seeing the cool costumes the teachers dressed up as.
2 Seeing the cool photos that had been taken
3 Seeing all the excitement from all the students about the big freeze
Daniel: Big freeze
My highlight was Bridie being a savage because she poured a whole bucket of water on Mr James’ BBQ that falls down and breaks in everyone’s eyes. The big freeze means that people that have MND are getting help.
Abel: Big Freeze:
My highlight was the staff jumping in cold water
Lolli:
1. My highlight of big freeze was when Bridie put the fire out with water
2. The big freeze means to me that the teachers were helping raise money to fight for MND
3. Next year I would like to see the Teachers make a bigger splash and a bigger pool.
4. I can help fight MND by raising money.
Martin:
When Mr James goes down the slide I bet he is going to freeze and I think he's gonna be a billionaire or a gorilla it's probably a billionaire. I'm just so happy about it. It's gotta be fun for the teachers. I think when they are dried it's still cold..hehe.
Cooper:
1. My highlight was the costumes. And the staff jumped in the icy cold water. It must have been cold.
2. The big freeze to me means taking the fight and action to MND and it must be hard
3. Next year I would like to see Cristiano Ronaldo costume
4. I can help the fight against MND by donating money or something that need
Students were involved in an incursion from St John Ambulance of Australia on the importance of First Aid and what to do in an event of an emergency, including calling 000 and performing CPR.
