Grade 5 & 6
Term 2, Week 10
In our Reader’s and Writer’s Workshops this term we learnt about using figurative language in our writing through the exploration of mentor texts like “The Boy and a Ball”. We also learnt about including descriptive language to show not tell the story.
In mathematics, we continued to work on our number fact fluency weekly to ensure our knowledge of times tables improves. We also learnt about constructing and measuring angles.
We are excited to have the opportunity to showcase our work this Friday 21st June. Students have continued to work hard on their self-directed inquiry project exploring a migration story of choice.
All students require an art smock (or old shirt) for our weekly Art specialist lessons, as well as a library bag to borrow books each week from our fabulous school library. Please also ensure that all uniform items (including hats), lunchboxes and drink bottles are clearly labelled so they can be returned if misplaced.
