Japanese Students Visit

🌸 Host Families Needed: SJCC Welcoming Japanese Students This August!

Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce a unique cultural exchange opportunity coming to our community this August! From August 1st to August 8th, 2025, a group of Japanese High School students from Kiyose High School, Tokyo, will be visiting as part of an exchange and learning program — and we need your help to make it a success!

We are currently seeking host families to welcome these students into their homes for the duration of their stay. Hosting a student is a wonderful way to:

  • Share Australian culture and daily life

  • Learn about Japanese customs and language

  • Build lifelong international friendships

  • Provide your family with a meaningful and enriching experience.

Each host family will be matched with one student and will be responsible for providing:

  • A comfortable place to sleep

  • Daily meals

  • Transportation to and from school or designated meeting points (Osborn’s Bus Service will be notified by the school)

  • A warm, welcoming environment.

No Japanese language skills are required — just a willingness to share your home and heart!

If you are interested in becoming a host family or would like more information, please contact Mrs Tanya Chapple at tanya.chapple@mn.catholic.edu.au or on 6543 7444 by 16 May 2025.

Let’s come together to show our visitors the warmth and hospitality of our community. Thank you for considering this rewarding opportunity!
