East Gippsland Boys AFL

First day back this term started off with a big day of football at the Bairnsdale City Oval. The boy’s teams stood tall as they ran out in each of their games, looking very professional in the College footy tops. It was great to witness the coaching team and students work so well together throughout the day trying out a range of plays and rotations to get the best out of the teams. Theres no hiding from the fact that it was a tough day at the office for all the teams, but what stood out all day was how unified, respectful and determined our students were. Better luck next year guys.

Gippsland Lawn Bowls

For something new, we had a junior and senior team represent our College at the Gippsland School Sports Championships at the Traralgon Bowls Club. A thrilling day of bowls ensued keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats, with both of our teams making it to the days finals. Our junior team, comprising of Bryce, Travis, Riley and Ned, were pipped by one shot to finish runners up to Swifts Creek. You competed so well throughout the day you should be congratulated on your efforts.

The senior team played off against Mirboo North, winning their division. They now progress now to the State Finals at Sunbury. We wish Ayla, Sylah, Annabel and Issabell the very best in their quest.
