From the Principal

Principal: Mathew Montebello

Dear Families,

Welcome back to Term 2!

We hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday break, and students had a chance to recharge for a busy, but fun term ahead.

2026 Prep Enrolment Information Night

Next Tuesday 29th April at 7:00pm (Junior Building, access via Hanmer St)we will be hosting our 2026 Prep Parent Information night. This event looks to provide prospective parents with information about Willy Primary. Who we are, what we do and how we do it. If you have a child that you are looking to enrol in 2026, we encourage you to come along.

If you know of anyone who is looking at enrolling their child for next year, please also encourage them to come along, including those that may be outside of the school zone.

As we are every year, we are extremely excited to meet our new families, to give them an insight of who we are as a school.

ANZAC Dawn Service

We feel very honoured to be joining the ANZAC Day dawn service at Williamstown Cenotaph. Tomorrow morning I will be in attendance with our grade 6 student leaders, and we will lay a wreath in respect on behalf of the school. A big thank you to Jenny Speakmen (mum of Jo, Grandmother of Elsie, and a member of four generations of Willy Primary Students) for her amazing wreath donation. How lucky we are.

Warm regards,

Mat
