LOOK WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING IN AUSLAN AT MPHPS

Welcome back to another fabulous year of Auslan! 

I’m so excited to begin this journey with you as we build our skills, confidence, and understanding of Deaf culture together. This year will be full of hands-on learning, great conversations, and plenty of opportunities to grow. I can’t wait to see all the learning that will happen—let’s make it a fantastic year!

SIGNS OF THE WEEK

Signs of the week will begin in the next fortnight. 

IN THE CLASSROOM

Years 3 – Students will be revising our School Values: Respect, Perseverance and Collaboration as well as our new classroom routines in the Auslan classroom. They will be introduced to the Auslan Alphabet. 

Year 4 – Students will be revising our School Values: Respect, Perseverance and Collaboration as well as revising our classroom routines in the Auslan classroom.  Students will also be revising signs related to the alphabet and animals in Auslan.

Year 5 – Students will be revising our School Values: Respect, Perseverance and Collaboration as well as our classroom routines in the Auslan classroom. Students will revise the Austranlian National Anthem, as well as signs they have learnt last year related to nature in Auslan.

Year 6 – Students will be revising our School Values: Respect, Perseverance and Collaboration as well as our classroom routines in the Auslan classroom. They will also be revising the Australian National Anthem and signs related to numbers and the four operations in Auslan.
