Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 4 of the school year and what a great start it has been. A special congratulations to our Foundation students and their families on such an incredibly smooth and positive start to school life. Starting school is a significant milestone, and it has been a joy to see our youngest learners settle into their classrooms with confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm. We are very proud of how quickly they have adapted to school routines and expectations, and we thank families for the strong partnership and support shown during these important first weeks.

SunSmart Reminder

As part of our commitment to being a SunSmart school, we remind families that students are required to wear a hat whenever they are outdoors. Please ensure your child brings a hat to school each day and that it is clearly labelled with their name. This helps us ensure all students are protected from the sun and able to participate fully in outdoor learning and play.

Specialist Programs Underway

Our specialist timetable commenced last week, and it has been wonderful to see students actively engaging in their specialist classes. Across Auslan, Science and Technology, Physical Education and The Arts, students have shown enthusiasm, creativity and a willingness to try new skills.

We sincerely thank our specialist teachers for the time, care and expertise they put into designing rich, engaging programs that support student learning and wellbeing. These subjects play a vital role in developing well-rounded learners, and it is fantastic to see our students enjoying these experiences.

School-Wide Positive Behaviour Program Launch

This year we have officially launched our School-Wide Positive Behaviour Program incentives system. Families should have received Class Values posters last week, which outline how students can demonstrate our core school values of Perseverance, Collaboration and Respect in the classroom.

When students are recognised for demonstrating these values, families will receive a Compass notification. In addition to this recognition, students now also earn points, which can be redeemed twice per term for rewards. Families can monitor their child’s progress by viewing points on the Compass dashboard.

We encourage you to talk with your child about how they are demonstrating our school values each day and to celebrate these positive behaviours at home. Please see below our Rewards menu.

Last week we farewelled our outgoing School Council President, Peter, who has dedicated the past six years to serving our school community in this role.

We are incredibly grateful for Peter’s tireless advocacy for our students and staff. His leadership, commitment and generosity of time have made a lasting and meaningful impact on our school. On behalf of the entire community, we extend our sincere thanks to Peter for his outstanding contribution and service.
