Wellbeing

Welcome back to a new school year. I hope you enjoyed a restful and refreshing holiday. It has been wonderful to see our students return with such enthusiasm, ready to reconnect and embrace another year of learning, growth and belonging.

This year, we will continue our focus on developing the 24 character strengths, supporting students to build the personal qualities that underpin wellbeing, positive relationships and a strong sense of community. These strengths come to life through our everyday interactions and shared experiences across the school.

As February is Kindness month, ithe week beginning 23 February 2026, our whole school focus will be on kindness—what it looks like in our classrooms, on the playground and in our wider community. Through intentional discussions, activities and daily interactions, students will explore how kindness strengthens relationships and helps create a caring, inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, respected and valued.

To further support this focus, we will continue to incorporate the Bounce Back program into our Personal Development and Health lessons. Bounce Back is a positive education program that builds wellbeing, resilience and social and emotional skills in primary students. By developing a shared language and understanding of wellbeing and resilience, the program supports the creation of a positive, safe and supportive learning community across the whole school.

Thank you for your continued support in nurturing a school culture grounded in kindness, respect and resilience. We look forward to a year where our students continue to learn, grow and flourish together.

Kind regards
