Welcome to the 2026 School Year!
As we begin another exciting year of faith, learning and growth at St Margaret Mary’s Primary School, I warmly welcome all our students and families, those familiar faces and those new to our community.
The Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi
In 2026–2027, the Church celebrates the Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi, marking 800 years since his passing. Pope Leo XIV invites us to honour this milestone by becoming “Instruments of peace and reconciliation.” He encourages us to find the “Courage to build bridges where the world raises up boundaries.”
At school and at home, we can live out this Franciscan spirit through small daily actions, by choosing forgiveness, listening with empathy, welcoming others and caring for God’s creation. I encourage all families to take time each week to pray for peace and share stories of kindness and forgiveness. You may even look to the Bible for examples and discuss these stories as a family.
Quickscan Survey – Share Your Voice
This year, all school communities within Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) are invited to take part in the Quickscan Survey, an important opportunity to reflect on how our Catholic identity is lived and expressed at St Margaret Mary’s.
Please click here to access the Quickscan Survey instructions. I warmly encourage all families to take part and share their perspective. Your voice truly matters in shaping the future of our community.
Together, let’s begin this new year with open hearts, living the message of St. Francis and adding our voices to the shared story of faith at St. Margaret Mary’s. May this year be filled with curiosity, kindness and opportunities to grow and flourish together.
Kind regards
Mrs Nancy Kubti
