Special Olympics - Playing for All

Burwood Council in partnership with Bring it on Sports are now delivering the Special Olympics Australia PLAYING FOR ALL program which is a games based activity for children from 5yrs to 12yrs with intellectual disability?

 

The Playing for All program assists participants to get active, make friends and have fun while learning important life skills.

 

When: Wednesday

Date: 27 September 2023

Time:  10am to 2pm

Where:  Henley Park, Portland Street Enfield

Cost:  FREE

 

Sessions are delivered in a safe and supportive environment by qualified coaches who run activities that promote movement, teamwork, decision making and communication. Coaches also teach players the importance of being fit and staying healthy.

 

Playing for All is perfect for those who:

 

·         aren’t interested in competitive sport but would benefit from being active and having fun with others.

·         who want to play sport but want to try different activities to build the skills, behaviours and confidence to take the next step.

·         play sport already but want an additional activity or to learn new skills.

 

The ultimate outcome for everyone is to enjoy being active and to stay active for life!
