Western District Athletics

On Tuesday 5th September, we took 30 of our finest athletes across to Brauerander for the Western District Athletics competition. Despite some early showers we had a dry track and an afternoon of sunshine to lift spirits on and off the track. A big congratulations to Max W (Year 10) and Anneliese S (Year 7) both placing first in their events and advancing to the GWR competition on Thursday October 5th. A final congratulations to Eliana V (Year 11) who came in as equal age group champion for her division. As a team, King's College scored 293 points, a career high for the College and a fantastic effort from our 30 students. Thank you to all students, parents and helpers who came along to make this day such a success.

Greater Western Region Athletics

On Thursday October 5th, our very own Max W (Year 10) attended the GWR athletics for the 16 years Discus and Shot Put events. Max achieved an exceptional result placing 3rd in Discus with a throw of 28m, and 4th in Shot Put with a throw over 10m! Terrific effort from Max and a testament to the practice and effort he has put in this athletics season. Well done Max!

Ballarat Regional Athletics

Lunchtime League - Term 3 Season Report

After another epic season of Lunchtime League, our students battled out for the Grand Final trophy on the last day of Term 3. The Mavericks captained by Jett B, came up against The Jungle captained by Jorja M. Mavericks have remained around the top of the ladder throughout the season, championing some terrific wins and fantastic plays.

The Jungle, finishing in 3rd position on the ladder, made their break for glory in the finals week, taking out the minor semi-final and preliminary final for the face off with Mavericks in the Grand Final. Half time scores sat at 4-4 with neither team giving ground. However, with dying seconds left, The Jungle managed to secure an 8-7 lead which carried them to victory.

A huge effort and a fantastic game by all students! Big thanks to our referees, supporters and all players and teachers who featured in the Term 3 Lunchtime League season.
