Footy Colours Day, Footy Breakfast and Kitchen Garden stall - Friday 15th September

With the end of term tomorrow, it is almost time for that wonderful SKiPPS tradition - Footy Colours Day.

Even though St Kilda were robbed in their attempt to secure a well-deserved flag, we invite all students, staff and parents to put on the jerseys or colours of their favourite side and wear these proudly to school on Friday 15th September - the final day of term 3.

These could be AFL, NRL, soccer or any other sport - maybe we will see some Matildas fans this year. We will have a Footy Colours parade on the basketball court at assembly time and classes are already planning some football themed learning activities for the day.

SKiPPA, our Parents' Association will kick the day off at 8am by firing up the BBQs and getting the coffee ready for a special Footy Colours breakfast.

They will have bacon and egg rolls for sale and a coffee cart operating for the absolutely best way to end this term. We hope to see you here.

Chantel and Allison (Our Kitchen Garden team) are also having a small market stall tomorrow (Footy Colours Friday) before school at the same time as our Footy Breakfast. We have some preserves and olives that the students made and packaged last term to sell. Along with packets of seeds, bags of lemon myrtle tea and other produce from the garden. Bring some cash and stock up on goodies.

Voice Referendum sausage sizzle and cake stall

With the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum date set for Saturday 14th October, SKiPPS has been confirmed as a polling place for local residents to cast their votes.

This provides the school with the opportunity to run a fundraising sausage sizzle and cake stall - the two cornerstones of any Australian election day.

We need volunteers for the day to help us cook and sell sausages and cakes. If you think you can spare an hour or two to come and help out, please sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B094BABA62EA3F85-skipps15
