Year 9 Swinburne Taster Day 

On Monday 9th October our Year 9 students visited the Swinburne Taster Day at the Hawthorn Campus. There students learnt about the variety of courses offered at Swinburne as a dual sector institution (TAFE and University). 

The day started, and ended, with the Year 9s hearing from current Swinburne students raving about their experiences in nursing, engineering and psychology courses. Mid-morning we went on a tour (highlights included the moot court, the bridges between buildings and the Factory of the Future), enjoyed the facilities and got a taste of what it was like to be a student on the campus for the day. The hands-on sessions that students were able to participate in covered topics such as cyber security, advanced medical technologies, marketing and creative writing. 

Overall, it was a very enjoyable and inspiring learning experience. A big thank you to the Swinburne staff and students for their fabulous assistance on the day and to Mr Russell, Ms Ryan, Mr Petrie and Ms Tedeschi for their help and participation in the day.
