Principal’s Message

Welcome to Week 10 - the final week of Term 3! 

When reflecting on the term that’s been, we’re reminded of the times that were joyous and the times that were busy and maybe even challenged us. Just last week, we had an amazing excursion to Dubbo Zoo for our students in Years 2-6, but even that wonderful experience would’ve challenged some of our families. Perhaps it was the first excursion their child had been on? Perhaps their child isn’t familiar with sleepovers or being away from home? Perhaps their child was unsure about what zoos are actually like? The pleasing thing is that every child who attended the excursion made it through, despite those uncertainties, and are now better equipped to handle the next uncertainty life will throw at them. The same is true for the families reading this. You’ve made it here, despite what life has thrown at you this term, and all those mountains you encountered this term hopefully look more like molehills upon reflection. 

This Friday, Mrs Jenny Darley will be concluding her time at Sacred Heart Boggabri. Mrs Darley has been teaching at our school for over two decades and recently decided to finish up at the end of this term. This decision was a difficult one for Mrs Darley to make, but it was the right one for her and her family. We wish her all the very best for the future and will keep all the Darley’s in our prayers.

Next term, we will be welcoming a new staff member to Sacred Heart Boggabri. Miss Grace Monaghan will join us in Week 1 Term 4 and will stay with us until the end of Week 6 Term 4, with the possibility that she may stay on until the end of the term. Miss Monaghan comes to us from Mullaley PS and will be filling Miss Morrissey’s teaching role in the K-2 room while she is completing her final teaching practicum. Our thoughts are with Miss Morrissey, hoping she has a smooth and successful transition to another school community and look forward to her return in Week 7 next term. Please warmly welcome Miss Monaghan into the Sacred Heart community upon her arrival in Week 1.

Happy birthday to Willow-Rose (11) and Evie (12) who celebrate their birthday this Wednesday 20 September. We hope you both enjoy your special day!
