Year 2

It has been a busy few weeks in Year 2. 

In Week 3, on a warm and sunny Friday, students participated in the K-2 athletics carnival at Waratahs. Students enjoyed a variety of activities, including sack racing, ball games, sprints and the classic egg-and-spoon race. 

In English, students have been writing a paragraph about a special item, tradition or memory. Students practiced their typing skills, creating a slideshow to accompany a presentation to their peers about their special item, tradition or memory.  This activity was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about students’ worlds. 

Meanwhile, in Visual Art, students have created more artworks to brighten the classrooms. Over the last two weeks, students have used oil pastel and water colour to create an artwork inspired by the Australian outback at dusk.
