Year 1

This term is flying by, it’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through! Year 1 has been busy enjoying our lessons both in and out of the classroom, and we’ve learnt so much over the past two weeks.
A big thank you to Mrs Dunn for organising our beautiful Retreat at Cook Park. The students loved spending time outdoors, learning all about Creation in such a peaceful setting.
We also came together as a grade to show our respect for Remembrance Day. Thank you Year 1 for your respect and reverence during this special gathering.
Some of our classes have already visited Healthy Harold, while others will go later in the week. Why not ask your parents if they remember seeing Healthy Harold when they were at school, we wonder if the stars on the roof were their favourite part too!
In English, we’ve been exploring narrative writing, and our students have shown incredible creativity… some have even published their own books!
Finally, a big well done to all our Year 1 students who are working hard to follow our school rules by being respectful, responsible, and safe. And don’t forget, please bring your hats to school every day.
Keep up the great work, Year 1!
