Endeavour House News

Welcome to Term Four!

The Endeavour boarders have hit the ground running, diving into a vibrant mix of cricket, basketball, swimming, recreation, art, music, and even sleepovers with friends. It’s heartening to see such energy and enthusiasm as we enter the final stretch of the year.

Growing Friendships

A noticeable sense of connection is blossoming within the house. Students are learning that friendships, like gardens, need care and attention to thrive. As the saying goes, you reap what you sow—and it’s lovely to see our boarders tending to their relationships with kindness and intention.

Cricket Safety Reminder

A quick note for our cricket enthusiasts: I’ve spoken with the keen cricketers in the house, and they’ve agreed to prioritise safety while using the campus nets. At a minimum, students must wear covered shoes and a helmet. Pads and gloves are encouraged. I’m pleased to report that the students have responded positively to this request—thank you for reinforcing these safety measures at home.

Valedictory Congratulations

A heartfelt congratulations to all our junior students for their outstanding behaviour during the recent Valedictory celebrations. Your maturity, respect, and thoughtful contributions throughout the formalities were truly commendable. Well done!

Spotlight

A special shout-out to Saffron Tapscott, who is performing in the school’s upcoming production of Possum Place, showing 14 to 15 November at the Albany Entertainment Centre, Kalyenup Studio. Saffron and the entire cast and crew have been working tirelessly—weekends and after school included—to bring this performance to life. It promises to be a memorable show, so be sure to grab your tickets and show your support!

Making the Most of the Final Weeks

As the countdown to the end of term begins, I encourage all students to embrace the unique opportunities that boarding life offers. And here’s a little challenge:

If there is an Endeavour boarder you haven’t spoken to all year—yes, a real-life, face-to-face conversation—now’s your chance. Be brave!

You never know… the person living just down the hall could turn out to be the most interesting person you’ll ever meet.
