We’re excited to welcome all students and families back for the final term of the year. We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable holiday and are feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the term ahead.
A special welcome is extended to students and families joining us this term. As we settle into routine, please remember to bring a fully charged device each day to support your learning. The start of term is also a great time to revisit the goals you set earlier in the semester and to consider how you’ll work towards your actions to achieve your goals in the coming weeks.
Progressive Reports will be released by Friday 24 October. These reports provide valuable feedback on what went well and feed forward on what can be improved from last term’s assessment and can help guide your preparation for assessments this term.
Chess Club started back this week with Coach Brandon. Much strategy was discussed, and Coach Brandon believes the current Chess students are approaching competition readiness! All Secondary students are welcome to join Chess Club which meets every Tuesday afternoon from 3:15pm to 4:45pm in the Upper LRC.
Students involved in the 2025 Illuminate Program are reminded that the Illuminate Showcase takes place on Friday 24 October from 7:15am.
All students in the program are expected to attend. Families of involved students are also invited and should register their attendance here.
Congratulations to the Year 12 students who participated in the ATAR Trial Exams over the holidays. These trials offered a valuable opportunity to experience exam conditions similar to the upcoming external assessments and to evaluate personal readiness across subjects.
Feedback and results from these trials will be available by next Tuesday. This will be invaluable to help guide final preparation.
Starting from Wednesday 15 October, Year 12 students are encouraged to attend targeted tutorials designed to support final preparation for external exams. These sessions will focus on revision, practice, and exam strategies. In addition to these Year 12 specific tutorials, Year 12 students are reminded that regular subject tutorials remain open to them and are a great way to reinforce learning in the final stretch. We wish all Year 12 students the best as they begin their final preparation for external exams.

As a community, one of our greatest strengths is the support we give to each other. That’s why on Friday 10 October, we will join with Australians everywhere to mark World Mental Health Day, focusing this year on the theme: Meaningful Connections Matter.
World Mental Health Day is a time to raise awareness about mental health, seek to reduce stigma, and encourage everyone, children, young people and adults, to be in touch with their emotional wellbeing.
This year, the campaign emphasises how connection, with family, friends, community, support services and with Country, can support good mental health. We know meaningful connections help people feel supported, understood, and less isolated. Having good supports and knowing where to turn creates resilience in children and adults alike.
Ways to support this at home include:
On Friday 10 October students across both the Primary and Secondary school will be invited to participate in a giant Let’s Dance activity in the Assembly Hall during lunch to see connection in action.
