Captains' Corner
Meghan Guthrie-Quinn and Tiani Tyler, College Captains
As we step into Term 4, it's hard to believe how quickly the year to 'Let your light come alive' has flown by. Being College Captains has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives, and as the final term begins, we find ourselves feeling a mixture of excitement, nostalgia, and anticipation.
Term 4 is always a special one, full of lasts. The last school assembly, the last exams, the last time walking through the school gates as a student. We are looking forward to making the most of every moment. From our graduation events to helping plan the final farewell for our cohort, there's a real sense of community and celebration in the air. We are especially excited to lead our year group through our final formal events and support the younger students as they prepare to take the reins next year.
At the same time, there’s a bittersweet feeling knowing this is the last chapter of our schooling journey. It’s strange to think that the routines and friendships that have defined our daily lives are about to shift so dramatically. We feel incredibly grateful for the experiences we have had here and for the people who have helped shape our grade and our leadership.
We would particularly like to thank our Head of Year, Ms Corpe, and Principal, Dr Cousins, for their consistent guidance and help throughout this year.
As we finish 2025, we both look ahead to what our futures look like next year, here is a glimpse from the both of us.
"After graduation, I plan to study a degree in Commerce at university. I’m particularly interested in areas like economics and business strategy, and I’m excited to explore where that path might lead, whether it’s working in the corporate world or helping organisations grow in meaningful ways. I’m also looking forward to meeting new people, gaining real-world experience, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally."

"After graduation, I am hoping to combine my passion for helping people with my interest in science. I plan to complete an undergraduate degree before studying a post graduate degree of Medicine. I’m most looking forward to the experiences that come after high school- university life, the opportunity to gain more independence, and stepping into the professional world."

As we all prepare to turn the page, we want to encourage our cohort to soak up these final weeks, celebrate the journey, and step into the future with courage and confidence!
