Foundation 2025 Transition

Over the past 3 weeks we have warmly welcomed all our new preps to our school community. 

At Fitzroy Primary School we understand the importance of a smooth transition from Kindergarten. Our transition program aims to prepare students for the Foundation year and build a strong and supportive partnership with families.

 Our transition program was held over three weeks and was an important introduction to school life. By attending all sessions students experienced their new learning environment, met our French and English teachers, and participated in activities with their new peers.

  Information sessions were held for parents in our staffroom during transition. This was an opportunity to meet other new parents whilst learning about Fitzroy Primary School. This year we also hosted informal Story Time afternoons. The short sessions introduced our students to a comfortable setting before the formal transition sessions.

Our 2025 foundation students celebrated their last transition session by decorating their 'I am going to-je vais a Fitzroy Primary School' t-shirts with their class!
