Principal's Message
Term 4 - Week 6
Last night we were entertained by our students who learn a musical instrument through Online Music. Students played keyboards, guitars, violins, the saxophone and were accompanied by vocalists Ava and Matilda. It was great to see the enthusiasm and pride from students and families. The Hall was overflowing and our brand new band showcased the musical talent of our students. Thank you to Justin and Lyn for all their work through rehearsals and preparation to ensure a great evening.
Congratulations to Oskar R, Max D, Anoshka M, and Saumya for representing MPRPS at the Public Speaking Competition at Rangeview Primary School. All four students were amazing and special mention to Saumya who won the 5/6 Competition and Max and Anoshka who each placed second.
As a school, we have been working on creating our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and are excited to announce that we will be publishing it in the coming weeks! A selected group of 5/6 students, working above the expected level in Visual Arts, worked with Sam Richards (our Artist in Residence), to develop a creative art piece that represents our Vision for Reconciliation. We can’t wait to showcase it!
We would love to warmly invite you to be a part of our Reconciliation Day event, where as a school, we will officially publish our RAP and share it with you, our wonderful community. On Monday 25th of November, instead of Assembly, come along to the oval to be a part of the work that we have already been doing and celebrate this important occasion.
Excitement, squeals of delight (students had only just seen each other at school but that doesn’t take any of the novelty of Late Stay away) as students arrived and greeted each other last Friday Night. Always such a favourite event with lots of thanks to the 1/2 team for their preparation and families for ensuring their children could attend. Activities, dinner and an icypole made for some great memories.
