Principal's Report
Dear Families,
We Value Your Feedback!
As part of our ongoing efforts to reflect and grow, we are conducting an analysis of our school’s current practices to help shape our next four-year strategic plan. Your feedback is crucial in helping us identify:
- Strengths/Successes: What are we doing well?
- Areas of Growth/Improvement: Where can we improve?
- Opportunities: What opportunities do you see for the school?
- Dangers: What challenges or risks do you foresee?
We kindly ask you to take a few minutes to share your thoughts by completing a short survey. Your insights will play a vital role in helping us build on our successes and set a clear direction for the future of Macedon Primary School.

Introducing Our 2025 School Captains
Congratulations to Cooper D and Yuka P, our new School Captains for 2025! I’m thrilled to be working alongside them next year as they take on this important leadership role and help guide the future of Macedon Primary School.
We had a fantastic range of high-quality candidates apply for the position, and I was impressed with the creativity, passion, and ideas each student brought to their vision for our school.
One of Cooper and Yuka’s first responsibilities will be to reshape our Junior School Council for 2025—an exciting new challenge that will give students an even greater voice in our school community.
We will be announcing the rest of our Grade 6 student leaders shortly, so stay tuned for more exciting news!
Well done, Cooper and Yuka! We look forward to seeing your leadership in action.
Refining Our School Values
As part of our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) journey, we are currently working to refine our school values. This process is an important step in shaping a shared understanding of what we stand for as a school community.
Our staff have completed their work on identifying key values, and now our students have begun selecting the values they think are most important. Once this phase is complete, we will move on to gather input from parents and carers to finalise our school values.
Keep an eye out for your opportunity to contribute—we look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas!
MPS Artwork Shines at the Kyneton Show
At the recent Kyneton Show, Macedon Primary School students proudly showcased their creativity through a stunning display of artwork. The exhibit featured a range of amazing pieces that highlighted the talent and imagination of our students.
We are incredibly proud of the effort and dedication our students put into their artwork, and it was wonderful to see their creations celebrated by the wider community.
A big thank you to Ginny for her hard work in organising the submission of the students' artwork—it wouldn’t have been possible without her efforts.
Congratulations to all the students who contributed—you’ve done MPS proud! Thank you to everyone who visited the display and supported our young artists.

School Review - WHY? Reminder
As part of our school review, we are reflecting on the “Why” of Macedon Primary School—what makes MPS special and what drives our purpose as a school. Understanding our "Why" helps us uncover the core beliefs and values that inspire our work, fostering a shared vision that brings our school community together and shapes the future of MPS.
For some inspiration on the importance of knowing your "Why," we recommend watching this insightful video by Michael Jr. If you’d like to share your thoughts, please add them to the poster outside the principal’s office or email them to Andrew at Andrew.Bloomfield@education.vic.gov.au We’ve already received some fantastic suggestions, and we’d like to thank the parents who have contributed so far!
Food Drive - Last Week
Thank you to everyone who has already contributed to our Food Drive in support of Gisborne Foodbank! We’re continuing to collect donations for the next three weeks and would love your support in helping those less fortunate in our community. This is a meaningful opportunity for our students to show kindness and make a positive impact. Families are invited to drop off donations in the school foyer.
