A Message from the Principal
Dear Parents and Carergivers
It is fabulous to see how well the students have settled in to the start of the new term which has commenced with a flurry of activity including EduDance for the Primary School, Parent/Teacher Student Meetings in the Secondary, the Secondary Athletics Carnival and Primary Inter-school Cross Country.
A big thank you to Mr Fiegert and Mr Old for all the planning and preparation that went into the Secondary Athletics Carnival last week. The resilience the staff and students demonstrated over the course of what was a challenging day with the weather is commendable. Through perseverance, we managed to complete the program except for the hurdles. Thank you to parents/caregivers who came along and supported their children on the day - I know they appreciated the support. The Inter-School team will now commence their training for the ACC Inter-school Athletics Carnival later this term.
Mr Fiegert, Mrs Rozario, Mrs Ivers and Mrs Pitman accompanied the students to the Cross Country Carnival at Tomato Lake last Thursday for the Primary Inter-School Cross Country. The students were great ambassadors for the College with Salvado coming in fourth place. The students achieved some wonderful personal achievements including Ivy (Year 4) and Makenzie (Year 5) coming First in their events and Paul (Year 5) coming Second in his race. Congratulations to all students who represented the College.
Uniform Shop
The Uniform Shop will be relocating to an off-campus shop run by PermaPleat in coming weeks which will enable families to be able to purchase uniform items on a daily basis on week days. To facilitate the change, the uniform shop at the College will be closed for a short period of time to facilitate the change over. The dates of closure, opening and location of the new shop will be communicated to all families shortly.
Building Update
We have a number of building projects underway or about to commence construction. The Stage 5 project which includes the College Oval and seven Learning Spaces is on time and progressing well. We have taken possession of the Oval, and the secondary students are appreciating the extra space during their break times. The Learning Spaces will be ready for the start of the 2025 school year.
Stage 6 encompasses six Learning Spaces and two temporary Cooking Rooms. This build will commence in coming weeks with completion due for mid 2025. The College has submitted a CDP Application for Stage 7 which is currently being assessed by Catholic Education WA.
Peace & Goodness to all,
Ian Hagen
