Mini Vinnies

It has been a busy time for our Year 4 Mini Vinnies students!

Nursing Home Visits

Throughout term 2 and continuing in term 3, many of the Mini Vinnies students have had the opportunity to visit Scotchman’s Creek Aged Care facility, to engage and play board games with the elderly residents that live there. This has been a heartwarming experience for the students, the residents and the supervising adults. The students have returned to school after these visits excited to share who they had met, whatgames they had played and information and stories they had learnt about the residents theyengaged with. Students and residents alike have asked repeatedly when they can return to playmore games and spend more time together. These are the community actions and relationships we want to be fostering through the Mini Vinnies program at Holy Family.
