Careers Update

Term 3 has started with Year 10 careers interviews where we have been providing students with further feedback on their Morrisby Profiles testing and an insight into the pre-requisite subjects, they may need for VCE. Year 12 interviews will then follow with students completing their VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre) applications.

Year 10 Work Experience

Students’ placements have been confirmed for work experience from Monday August 5 to Friday August 9 and they have completed their Occupational Health and Safety Training. The students are looking forward to the week and the chance to engage in the workplace.

Future Insights Event

During period 5 and 6 on Thursday August 1, students from Years 9-12 will have the opportunity to hear from speakers from a range of university courses/careers including creative arts, business and commerce, health care, sport, science and IT, engineering and aviation. Many of these speakers are alumnae who have volunteered their time to provide insights to our students. It should prove to be a great way of students learning more about some of the careers of interest to them and possibly finding new areas of interest.

Year 12 VTAC applications

Parents can watch a presentation from VTAC on the application process on either 6th August from 5.30 - 6.30pm or 11th September from 5.30 - 6.30pm. Registrations can be made at this link: Events (vtac.edu.au)

We would recommend this as a way of parents understanding the process and best being able to support their children in applying. For students not wishing to continue study at university, their meeting will focus on vocational pathways and assistance with applications and resumes.
