This month our students volunteered in a homeless feed. Stormy wet weather does not deter our volunteers, God Bless them.
"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” - Matthew 25:4

“It was an amazing opportunity to give back to the community. It allowed us to grow closer to our faith and to be able to give back through our service, on the model of Our Lady”. (ear 12 students)

On the 31st of July, 1 Gold visited the aged care facility. Students had the opportunity to engage with the residents with music, stories and prayers.
Secondary students embarked in a journey of faith formation exploring the Symbols of the Maronite Divine Liturgy, led by Mr Charbel Ellias, Secondary Religion KLA Coordinator. This insightful talk was an opportunity to reflect on our Maronite Liturgy.

A Faith Formation session exploring the life and contribution of Blessed Patriarch Estephan Douaihy was also held following his historic beatification earlier this term. The informative presentation was led by Sr Juliette Abi Khalil, and the discussion was appreciated by both staff and students.
Our primary students showed incredible engagement and enthusiasm during the session on the Feast of Saint Mary MacKillop, eager to learn about the inspiring life of Australia’s first saint. Attached is a quick visit to the classrooms during religion sessions, where most of our students were deeply involved in a craft activity, bringing Saint Mary’s story to life through their creativity.

From the feasts of St. Elijah, St. Charbel, the Beatification of the Blessed Patriarch Estephan Doueihy, St Mary Mackillop of the Cross to the Assumption of Our Lady; Primary students showed true dedication to our saints through engaging activities and vibrant posters.

Year 5 students were deeply inspired during a special session on the Transfiguration, led by Sister Rita Bou Raffoul, where they connected with their Catholic values through a captivating exploration of the Byzantine Syriac Icon.

The Feast of the Assumption marks a very special occasion for the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family, as it's the Foundation Day of this blessed Congregation that was founded by the Venerable Patriarch Elias Howayek in Lebanon, back in 1895.
To celebrate this blessed feast, Maronite College of the Holy Family community gathered to celebrate the Divine Liturgy praying for the intercession of Our Lady and to congratulate Sr Irene on her 50 year Jubilee as a Maronite sister of the Holy Family.

Year 10 students participated in Session 4 of the 10:10 Program in August. Respectful relationships and personal responsibility were explored in dynamic and insightful ways by Alex and Cheryl from Sydney Catholic Schools. As you can see our students got involved and did MCHF proud. The next session will be in September.
