2024 Digital Technologies (BYOD) Program Review
Dear Parents and Guardians,
In line with our Digital Learning policy, we are currently in the process of reviewing the technology we use across the school. This is to ensure that we are providing the best possible learning experiences for your children.
We understand that some families like to plan ahead and may be considering purchasing devices for school use, particularly our current Year 2 families. However, we strongly recommend holding off on buying or updating any devices intended for school use until further notice, as we are currently reviewing our technology needs and guidelines.
The school is actively engaging in discussions to determine how our digital device program might evolve in 2025 and beyond. Over the last few years, we have utilised iPads across the school, and prior to this, we used netbook computers. We are evaluating various devices and technologies to ensure that our students have access to the most effective tools for their education.
We will keep you informed of any developments and decisions regarding device use at school as soon as they are finalised. Parent feedback is an important part of this process, and we would greatly appreciate your input. Please take a moment to complete our survey; it will only take about 2 minutes of your time.
Thank you for your continued support in our efforts to provide the best possible learning environment for our students. Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me [paula.dekok@education.vic.gov.au].
