I wish to invite any parent/carer, student or friend of the community who would be interested in becoming a match day official for any of our Summer or Winter sports to please fill in the form via the link below. Should there be adequate numbers, the College is willing to arrange referee courses for those interested to participate in. 

 

Sport Officials – Expression of Interest

Reconciliation Round

On Saturday 25 November the College will hold our Summer Reconciliation Round of Sport across all disciplines. 

 

The First XI Cricket and First V Basketball players will wear our College’s Aboriginal strip created in conjunction with our partner school in Alice Springs, St Joseph’s Flexible Learning Centre. 

 

Throughout the day, ALL teams playing at home will acknowledge country prior to the commencement of their fixtures. As we do this, it is important that we work for reconciliation in our everyday lives beyond just Saturday, addressing racism and affecting change for the greater good of our original custodians where possible. 

 

SPC stands in solidarity with all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acknowledges the Wangal clan of the Dharug people in the greater Eora nation, as well as the Central Arrente people of Alice Springs.

SPC Swimming Invitational 

Well done to the College Swimming Squad for their first meet last Friday evening at Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre. Congratulations to Cranbrook School for winning this year’s carnival and well done to our squad who finished in Fourth Place with some fantastic individual performances. Best of luck to our squad whose next meet will be on Friday 24 November at Trinity Grammar School. A full report of highlights from these two carnivals will be published in Week 8. 

 

For your forward planning the last round of fixtures for Term 4 are as follows:

  • Interschool Golf Competition – 18 November 2023
  • ISA Cricket, ISA Basketball, and ISA Touch Football – 25 November 2023
  • NDJCA Cricket teams will play until 16 December 2023
  • RHBL Baseball teams play until 16 December 2023.
