Confirmation

Congratulations to Mary, who received the Sacrament of Confirmation over the weekend. Bishop Mark Edwards presided over the ritual and ensured that everybody felt included and knew their role in the ceremony. It was a lovely day where all of the Confirmation Candidates had a lot of support from family, friends and the wider parish community. A delicious cake was baked and beautifully decorated by Simone Francis, and was a fitting marker of the special nature of the day. 

Children from the school and parish community marked our parish feast day with our now annual “All Saints’ Day Parade.” There were some great costumes and some fantastic explanations about why children dressed up as the Saint of their choice. It is lovely to see children thinking about the good qualities of others and how they would like to emulate the good works that people have performed over the ages.
