A Word From Leadership

Thanking Volunteers

On Wednesday 22nd November we will hold our annual event to celebrate the generous work and support of volunteers within our community.

Many school parents and grandparents commit extraordinary amounts of time and energy, while others find smaller amounts of time within the constraints of the busyness of life. All are valued immensely.

This year we will be holding a breakfast in the church café from 8.15am to 8.45am.  Students will be supervised on the school playground during this time.

Further details will be coming home soon, but for now, save the date!

Sunscreen and Students’ Personal Products

With the increased sunshine and change of weather, students are being encouraged to protect their skin with the use of sunscreen.

We encourage the use of classroom provided sunscreen, (also soap and sanitiser), but medical exemptions are certainly accommodated.  If your child cannot, for medical reasons, use the school provided items, our policy is to treat personal products as though they are medicines. This requires carers to provide the product in the container in which it was dispensed, with pharmacy-printed label showing child’s name, expiry etc.  Pharmacy-labelled sanitiser and sunscreen is kept in the classroom (the teachers can store it on a shelf or on a cabinet in a basket), not in student’s pocket, tray or backpack.

Any other product (moisturisers, gels, skin oil/sprays, etc) are to be kept at the front office and dispensed in the same manner as medication would.
