Learning & Teaching

On Wednesday 1st November we will be inviting families to visit St John's to learn more about our philosophy and approach to Writing. We would like to know if you are interested in attending this experience, as well as any questions you might have regarding the writing philosophy at St John's. We will answer as many of these questions as possible on the day.

Faith

On Monday 16th October, the School and Social Justice leaders returned to the Aslyum Seeker Resource Centre in Footscray. 

The children were extremely excited to deliver the large donations of food and household items so generously donated by our school community. The children then volunteered their time to help sort the donations that will be accessible to members of our community in need. It was a beautiful experience where the children could live our their faith and demonstrate the Catholic Social Teaching of Human Dignity.

A big thank you to Suzanna from the ASRC for sharing her time, stories and warmth with us. Another thank you to Karen and Mairead for your support on the day.

In term Four we will be continuing our exploration of collage and composition.

Could you please save your empty cereal boxes and bring them into school deconstructed? We can store them and use them for our artworks.
