Welcome back to Term 1, 2026!

A very warm welcome to all students, families, and staff as we begin what promises to be an exciting and rewarding Term 1. We are thrilled to have everyone back at JJCMHS for another year of learning , growth, and community. Together, we look forward to achieving great things and continuing to foster an environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As I begin my 10th year as principal of JJCMHS, I want to remind all students that our school values: Honour, Excellence, Opportunity and Responsibility are at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive community where everyone is respected and supported. Your attitude, kindness and effort make a big difference in building a positive environment where all students can learn and grow.

Remember all the teachers and staff at JJCMHS are here for you.

They care about you, that you feel safe, that you feel a sense of connection and belonging and that you feel supported in your learning.

If you need help or have concerns about anything talk to us.

Let’s work together to make 2026 a wonderful year full of learning, kindness, and respect!

Welcome Year 7

Our Year 7 students have settled into life at JJ beautifully this week through a three-day induction program designed to help them feel confident, connected and supported. Students participated in a range of fun, engaging and team-building activities that encouraged new friendships, strengthened class bonds and helped them feel a strong sense of belonging within our school community. It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm, positivity and the way they have already begun to support one another as they start their high school journey.

"I am incredibly proud to be the Year 7 Coordinator and to support this wonderful cohort as they begin their journey at JJ. I can’t wait to see them continue to grow, build confidence and truly thrive as they move through high school."
