Success in our Community
Past and Present
We are proud to celebrate the achievements of members of our wider St Joseph’s community.
Kayden Elliott, a past student, recently represented Australia at the World Cross Country Championships in Florida, competing in the Under 20, 8km race and finishing an impressive 25th on the world stage. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to his dedication and perseverance. Kayden will be training and competing in Australia until August. He will then relocate to the USA to begin an elite athlete college scholarship, enabling him to study and compete.

We also congratulate another group of past students, the Glen Innes High School student leaders for 2026. Well done to School Captain Ilyssa Newbury and to the House Captains and Vice-House Captains: Maddison Tarrant, William Wright, Eva Villella, Emily Lawler, Lloyd Newbury and Dakota Hayden. We wish them every success in their leadership roles.
Finally, we are delighted to acknowledge Narelle Pietsch, a valued parent within our school community, who was honoured at the Glen Innes Severn Australia Day Awards as Citizen of the Year. This award recognises her remarkable and long-standing service to numerous community organisations across the district, including her generous contributions to our St Joseph’s P&F. We congratulate Narelle on this well-deserved recognition.
