Start of the Year

It is so good to have students back at the College for the start of the 2026 academic year!

I have re-iterated to teaching staff the importance of these first few days and weeks of the year – especially for students new to the College.  If there is anything further we can be doing to support your child as they transition, please let their Class Teacher (Junior School) or House Mentor (Senior School) know.

I commend our extensive Co-curricular Program to you and your child.  There is no better way to make new friends, and ensure balance alongside academic studies, than being involved in sport or the performing arts programs at Trinity.

Leadership, 2026

As reported previously, we have now moved to a twin Deputy Principal organisational structure at the College:

  • Deputy Principal – Senior School, Kathy Fletcher.  Kathy’s team includes:
    • Dean of Students – Senior School, Dave Smith, who line manages the Heads of House
    • Dean of Studies – Senior School, Stephanie Davis, who line manages the Heads of Department
    • Dean of Activities, Jarrod Monaghan (K-12)

  • Deputy Principal – Junior School, Simon Fairall; his team includes:
    • Dean of Studies – Junior School, Lauren Naldrett
    • Stage Leaders: Lydia Billington (Kindergarten), Stacey Jones (Years 1 – 2), Kristie McInnes (Years 3 – 4), and Kim Hardie (Years 5 – 6)
    • Instructional Coaches: Casey Meller (Literacy) and Kirby McDonald (Numeracy)

In a new K – 12 Role:

  • Nash Clark is our new Director of Teaching and Learning.

Any queries or concerns families might have are best raised, in the first instance, with the Class Teacher (Junior School) or House Mentor (Senior School).

Traffic flows

As families develop routines around drop-off and pick-up times, and more students feel comfortable to catch their local bus service to school, we expect congestion in the front carpark to abate.  However, I encourage drivers to be patient during our peak periods 8:15 – 8:35am and 3:10 – 3:30pm.  With staff on duty from 8:15am and until 4:00pm in the afternoon, students can be dropped-off earlier and picked-up later to avoid the busy times.

As mentioned in recent notifications, drivers are asked to move into one of the 100 parking spaces dedicated to parents in our front carpark.  Queues of vehicles in our driveways are problematic as they cause a tailback on Elizabeth Mitchell Drive and impede the flow of buses, in particular. Thank you for your support in ensuring traffic moves smoothly at peak times.

2026 is going to be another great year at Trinity!

It all starts here.
