NAPLAN Results – A Fantastic Achievement!

We are very pleased to share some positive news from our 2026 NAPLAN results. Our students have achieved pleasing results across both Year 3 and Year 5, with our school meeting our School Improvement Plan (SIP) targets ahead of schedule.

Our SIP targets were set with the goal of achieving these outcomes by 2027. We are delighted that our students have reached these targets one year earlier than anticipated.

This achievement reflects the consistent efforts of our students, teachers and families. Our continued focus on high-quality teaching, explicit instruction, targeted intervention, assessment and using data to inform teaching is supporting students to make strong progress in their learning.

In Numeracy, our Year 5 results have shown particularly pleasing growth, increasing from 50% in 2023 to 80% achieving at or above the expected standard, meeting our 2027 target. The proportion of Year 3 students achieving one year above the expected standard has also increased from 13% to 25%, achieving our 2027 target.

In Reading, our Year 5 results have increased from 56% of students achieving at or above the expected standard in 2023 to 80%, meeting our 2027 target. We have also increased the proportion of Year 3 students achieving one year above the expected standard from 19% to 25%, reaching our target earlier than anticipated.

In Writing, our Year 5 results have improved significantly, with 80% of students now achieving at or above the expected standard, meeting our 2027 target of 80%, up from 68% in 2023. Our Year 3 results have also reached our target, with 25% of students achieving one year above the expected standard, compared with 19% in 2023.

While NAPLAN is just one measure of student achievement, these results provide encouraging evidence that the work we are doing across the school is having a positive impact.

These results are a wonderful reflection of the consistent, evidence-informed teaching practices of our staff and the commitment of our students to their learning. While we celebrate reaching these targets ahead of schedule, we recognise that each cohort is different and will continue to use assessment data to identify areas for growth and ensure every student is supported to achieve their potential.

Kind regards
