Dear Families,
Jared Cooney Horvath - Parent Information Sessions
We recently had our first session with renowned educator and neuroscientist Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath. The feedback from the first session was positive and it gave our parents some wonderful tips to support the students.
We still have available room for more parents to engage with our second session with Dr Jared Cooney Horvath. Please click on the link below to register:

Sporting Teams Colours Day
The last day of the term, Friday 19th September is our Sporting Teams Colours Day. This is an event where we invite students to wear their favourite sporting team colours. It could be AFL, netball, basketball, soccer or many others.
This is a fundraiser for the Opening Doors Foundation. The Foundation is a First Nations run grass-roots organisation which supports First Nations students across Victoria to attend the school of their choice with all necessary supplies. they also support the costs of formative school experiences such as camps and excursions. It is the only First Nations organisation that supports a child throughout their entire 13-year educational journey.
We are asking for a donation via CDF Pay just the same way as lunch orders and other fundraisers we have completed this year.
Summer Uniform Changeover
Please note that children may wear either their summer or winter uniform from Monday 8 September during the changeable weather conditions. All children will need to be in Summer uniform by Monday 20 October.
Repeat - Finalising 2026 school numbers
It is at this time of year that we begin to forecast how many students will be attending our school in 2026. These forecasts are very important as they tell our Advisory Council how many classes will be required for 2026. This of course impacts on how many teachers are required.
Subsequently, I ask that all parents advise Tim Moloney if children will be leaving St. Francis of the Fields at the end of 2025. Thank you.
Assembly
2S & 2HL will lead our next school assembly tomorrow, Friday 12 September from 2.45pm in the Shed. All parents, grandparents and guardians are most welcome to attend.
Christ has no hands but yours.
