GRADE THREE AND FOUR

We have finally reached the end of another term. All students really enjoyed the engaging hands-on learning tasks to consolidate their understanding of water as a unique natural Earth resource. They used recycled materials to create models of the water cycle, water collection storages like dams, and water ways such as rivers, lakes and ocean. They also made water purifiers to show how dirty water is cleaned. Finally, they created a poster on the four seasons to describe how weather and climate affect the water cycle.  I am proud of their team effort and creativity this term.

GRADE FIVE AND SIX

All students really enjoyed investigating, comparing, making models of the Solar System.  Throughout their research they discovered the Solar System is a small part of the galaxy and how gravity keeps the planets in orbit around the Sun. Additionally, they made Solar System tabletop designs, visual models of the different phases of the moon, posters and a PowerPoint presentation to demonstrate their understanding of the Solar System.  I applaud their energy and hard work this term!
