Principal's September Report

We at Aitken Hill Primary School recognise the rich Aboriginal heritage within our community and acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung, which includes the existing family members of the Gunung-Willam-Balluk clan, as the Traditional Custodians of this land. We embrace Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander living cultures as a vital part of Australia’s identity and recognise, celebrate and pay respect to Elders past, present and future.
As Term 3 comes to an end, we reflect on what has been a truly rewarding and action-packed few months. Highlights have included 100 Days of School Celebration for our Preps, Book Week Parade, House Spirit Week, STEM showcase and many excursions and incursions for our students.
Our students and staff have worked tirelessly this term and deserve a well-earned break.
Next term we have our new Prep 2026 Transition days, 5/6s off to Somers Camp, Monty’s Colour Furn Run, Kaboom Sports, House Spirit Days and many more fun and exciting activities for our students.
Term 4 assemblies will be with the whole school together every fortnight, Friday 2:30pm - a schedule will be published in the first week back.
Thank you for being part of such a successful term. We wish all our families a safe and restful break and look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 6 October.
