Parent Information Session - 11th November 2025

We’re pleased to share that our school will again be partnering with Kid’s ROAR this term — a respected program that teaches children about protective behaviours and how to keep themselves safe.

An online information session for parents and carers will be held soon. This session is for adults only, as it discusses content that is not appropriate for children.

Protective behaviours help children recognise their right to feel safe, understand early warning signs when something doesn’t feel right, and know how to get help from trusted adults. It’s about building confidence, resilience, and awareness — empowering children, not frightening them.

During Week 7 of this term, all Foundation to Year 5 students will take part in Kid’s ROAR classroom sessions. These age-appropriate lessons use stories, activities, and discussions to help children learn about personal safety in a positive, supportive way.

We encourage all parents and carers to attend the adult session so you can reinforce the same messages at home. When school and families work together, our children grow up stronger, safer, and more confident.

Please join us for Coffee & Connect, this Thursday 16th October at 8:45 in the staffroom.

Connecting with other parents over a coffee and a relaxed chat is a great way to feel energised and empowered in your role as a parent. Those of us who gather have enjoyed building a closer community, so we can all experience a sense of belonging.

Next week we're going to talk about some of the strategies that help us support our young people as we look toward change e.g. moving into a new year/class, or even to a new school for those students facing their secondary school education.

Please RSVP here so we can gather coffee orders and prepare some sweet treats.

We will meet in the staffroom (access via the doors opposite Galilee- Foundation Classrooms) at 8:45 on Thursday 16th October.

Please note, our final coffee & connect date for the year will be Thursday 13th November.

Kind regards

The Wellbeing Team,
