Acting Principal's Report

Welcome back to Term 4 and we hope that you have all had a lovely break. Ms. Mack was back last week to see off our Year 3 and 4 campers, and has now taken some long service leave. She will be back later this term. I will be Acting Principal during this time.
We were proud to hear the stories that came back from last week's school camp, hearing about the respect our students showed to their peers and staff. It can be a difficult time for many of our Year 3 students being away from home for their first camp, and again it was lovely to hear them demonstrating our school value of Resilience. Well done Year 3 and 4 campers. Thank you also to our staff and parents who attended the camp and made it so successful! Please see photos here!
Term 4 is always busy, as we have a number of events and programs running. Term 4 can be a special way to celebrate the 2025 year, but also look ahead to the next school year, as later in the term we begin our transition programs.
New Playground
You may have noticed, that over the holidays in September, we had some work done around our school. This included a new playground that has been constructed just near the Foundation entry gate. This playground is for use by our Foundation students, and is already being thoroughly enjoyed, as you can see by the photos below. I would like to thank our school community who have generously contributed to this playground through a range of fundraising events, including the Easter and Christmas raffles. I would also like to thank our School Council members who approved the purchase and design of this playground.
Student Attitudes to School Survey
Each year students in years 4, 5 and 6 participate in a confidential survey to provide schools with a deeper understanding of their attitudes towards school. The survey asks students questions about different aspects of school life including teaching practice, teacher-student relations, learner characteristics, social engagement and student social and emotional wellbeing.
Results from this year’s survey have been published and we are very pleased to say that student satisfaction in most school priority areas are extremely positive and are at or above state averages. This is the second year that we have maintained such positive results. The results have also identified some future areas of growth and we will use this feedback to develop actions to enhance student learning and wellbeing in 2026.

Colour Run
Our Colour Run will be taking place on Friday 14th November!
Fundraising for our Annual Colour Run has opened as of Monday 13th October.
Everyone will get to participate in the event! The more money we raise, the more equipment and resources we can get for our school! Things like Ga Ga pits, Foundation play ground, AFL goals etc! Even if they raise only $10, they will get to choose a prize!
On the day, students will need to wear a white T-shirt. If your student/s do not want to get coloured, that is fine too, they can still run around and we will put a coloured sash on them so we know not to spray them!
Each year level will get a time to come out (about 45 mins) and run around and get wet and coloured! Teachers will be the ones spraying the kids with powder and sprinklers will be set up around the course if they want to run under them!
Students will also receive a Zooper Dooper at the conclusion of their run.
More information regarding timings is to come and parents will be notified. Parent attendance is welcomed, however adult participation in the event is not allowed.
