Writing Day

Writing Day - Historical Recount

This week, on Thursday 6th June, the 5/6's will be participating in a whole writing day. They will be participating in writing activities. Students are also encouraged to dress up to help their creative side come out during writing or to be as comfortable as possible.

The purpose of the writing day is to make writing more enjoyable for students, being able to start and finish a piece of writing on the same day which creates having a sense of achievement and to plan/work to a deadline.

Researching and planning is well and truly underway!

Thea: Black Plague - I am writing about this is because it is interesting how quickly it spread all across Europe and how people treated it.

Winter Sports - Netball

Last Friday, we took 16 students to Selkirk Stadium to participate in Netball. We took two teams which consistent of season netballers and first timers.

Each team got the opportunity to play 3 games, all teams played against some strong opposition, however, that didn't stop them from competing with pride and demonstrating the school values.

A huge thank you to Zarie and Megan for umpiring on the day and Carla for helping scoring all teams.
