Calling Student Gardeners

Bring along your gardening gloves and a small spade on Thursday 12th June at Recess and Lunch and help Mrs Bray with some gardening jobs.

Our veggie garden beds near the netball courts need a freshen up. Please join me on Thursday 12th June and we can work together on clearing out the old plantings, working the soil and topping up the garden beds.  We will have Naomi from Bunnings Australia to provide us with fresh soil and plant new seedlings.

Once the beds are refreshed, Mrs Bray and Year Level Teams will be able to plan some links to learning that involves classes engaging with Bunnings with these spaces as important learning environments.

Can’t wait!

Mrs Bray

From the Principal

The cold is here, especially in the morning. We have a school wide expectation that all students come dressed for the weather, this includes jumpers. Students are welcome, once the day warms up, to take their jumpers off. Please make sure all jumpers are named, and that your child has not accidently bought home someone else's jumper by mistake.

I want to congratulate the Beaufort Football Under 12's team who were awarded the Spirit of Participation award, voted on by all other CHFL clubs, at the lightning premiership a few weeks ago. This is a great achievement for the players and the team.

This week, teachers will be finishing up their mid-year assessments and will commence writing the student's mid-year reports. Reports will be uploaded to XUNO on Thursday 27th June. Any parent who wishes to add their name to the hard copy print out list, will need to notify the office by Wednesday 26th June.

Just a reminder that this Friday is a Curriculum Day, and students are not required at school. Staff will be taking part in professional development sessions and report writing. Also, Monday is a public holiday. The school will be closed on this day.
