Division Cross Country

Recently, 31 students represented Sacred Heart at the Division Cross Country in Shepparton at Princess Park. It was a cold and rainy day but luckily, we managed to get all the runs in! Everyone represented themselves and Sacred Heart to a very high standard. It was great hearing students support each other and be proud of their efforts. Congratulations to everyone that was involved. Well done Manning, who placed 7th in the 11 year old boys and has qualified for the Region Cross Country on the 21st of June.

5/6 Interschool Sports

Last Friday, 5/6 students were involved in the Football, Soccer, Netball and TeeBall Interschool Sports Championships. These were held in Mooroopna and Shepparton. All teams played fairly and competitively and represented themselves and Sacred Heart well. Although no teams made it through to the finals or next round, all students should be proud of the effort and enthusiasm they put in, both on the day, and during training in previous weeks. Special thanks to Michael Reid (football team coach), Frank Nigro (soccer team coach), Sophie Lewis (netball team coach), Sophia Spedding (netball umpire), Tracey Marshall (netball umpire) and of course all the 5/6 staff who make these days possible.

New Sports Equipment

Following on from some student feedback, Sacred Heart has purchased 4 new portable soccer goals and 2 new portable football goals. These should allow students to set up more games on the oval at breaktimes.

Good Sports Award Trophy

The winner of the Good Sports Trophy for week 5 was Lenny H. Lenny always plays fairly and puts in her best efforts. In the Grade 3/4 Benchmarking week, Lenny improved all her previous terms scores and times. She also put in a fantastic effort at Division Cross Country. Well done Lenny!
