In Maths we have been learning about time. Next week we'll be learning about duration- identifying whether an activity takes a short or long amount of time to complete.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

With your child ask them about some activities that they do during the day either at home or at school for example, reading a book, doing P.E, eating lunch etc. Ask your child to identify whether the activities take a short amount of time or a long time to complete. 

 

To support your child you may ask them questions like:

What takes longer to do- swimming lessons or brushing your teeth?

 

They may wish to draw some activities that take a long time to complete and some that take a short amount of time to complete.
