Our Olympic Rowers

Audrey English, Y12 student and first crew rower, has won a national competition, run by rowing shoe company, Bont Rowing (https://bontrowing.com/),  to design the Australian Rowing shoes for the upcoming Olympics and Para Olympics!  The competition was run during March and April this year for anyone who wanted to design the next Australian rowing shoe and our very own Audrey was the winner!

After having her design shortlisted, she was asked to submit some information regarding her design. Audrey was inspired by the Australian colours, colours around Lake Wendouree and the watts graph from a concept 2 ergo machine used in land based rowing training.

As part of the winning prize, Audrey will design a rowing shoe for Ballarat High School and we will be given 16 free pairs for our rowers, valued at $4000!!!
