On Thursday 24 October, twenty of our enthusiastic Kinross Wolaroi School girls had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Phoebe Litchfield Girls' Cricket Clinic. The event was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, catering to players of all levels—from beginners stepping onto the pitch for the first time to more seasoned cricketers eager to enhance their skills.
The day was packed with skill-building activities and plenty of opportunities to learn the finer details of cricket. Phoebe Litchfield, an inspirational young star of Australian women’s cricket, not only ran the clinic but took the time to connect with each of the girls. Meeting Phoebe was, without a doubt, a highlight for everyone, with her friendly demeanor and encouraging words resonating with all.
For our more experienced players, Phoebe shared invaluable insights and tips that they’ll carry forward into their games. For those new to the sport, it was an exciting introduction to the joys of cricket, sparking new passion and confidence. The smiles on the girls' faces were proof of the fun and learning experienced by all—a memorable day that will surely inspire them in their future sporting journeys.
