Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report
Year 12
Our end of year celebrations for Year 12, 2024 have concluded. One of the common things we hear from the Year 12 students in the final few weeks is how fast the time has gone. They often comment that they were warned but they cannot believe how quickly the end of their time has arrived. It is a reminder for us all to live in the sacrament of the present moment; to be fully present to the blessing and gift each day, each moment is. Our life, indeed each moment of it, is a gift from our loving God. As we move into the middle part of the last term of 2024, we pray for the grace for all of us to be fully present to, embrace, live fully in and be grateful for this day, this moment, every day. This means making the most of all the opportunities at school and developing all the gifts and talents we have been blessed with. We pray as a community we can grow in gratitude and presence to God and to the presence of God in each other.
Next Week
A reminder that next week there is the mid term break (no school, no classes) on Monday 3 November 2024 (VCE Units 3&4 Psychology and General Maths Exam 2 will be held in the Auditorium), while Tuesday 4 November 2024 is the a public holiday for Melbourne Cup. We hope all students and their families have a great break and we look forward to seeing you back at school on Wednesday 6 November 2024.
Exams
Looking ahead, we have exams for Year 9 students on 6 to 8 November 2024. The Year 10 exams will be held on 14 to 21 November 2024. Year 11 exams are running from 11 to 21 November 2024. The Year 9 exams will be in the C2 classrooms and the Years 10 and 11 exams will take place in the Gym. We wish students all the best for the exams and encourage students to work hard revising so they will be able to do their best in the exams.
2025
As we look ahead to 2025, our staff are busy planning for the year ahead. We are very interested in feedback, so if you have any comments, ideas or suggestions that would be helpful for us to hear, which would enable us to improve in 2025, we would love to hear from you. We would also like you to contact us if you believe that there is something positive that we currently do. Please do not hesitate to email me, justin.duckett@nazareth.vic.edu.au at the College if there is anything you would like to pass on.
We look forward to hearing from you.
God Bless.
