Hampshire House 2024 Art Show

Our Annual Hampshire House Art Show was held on the 1st October and showcased a range of amazing collaborative and individual projects that our children have been working on this year.  Our investigations into “Luminescence” has led to so many rich lines of inquiry from shadow making, glow worms and the Solar System to chandelier making and exploration of the Northern Lights. It was fabulous to see these come to life in a wonderful hands- on, immersive art experience.

The children were delighted to share their projects with their families. A popular exhibit was the toddler’s “glow in the dark” land and seascape, which required the children to paint in special neon paints and then view the art works using torches. Our Nursery children invited us to experiment with rainbows and light tables, whilst our Preschool yellow children shared with us “What makes our hearts glow”, producing some beautiful collaborative installations that allowed us to explore light and dark. The children in Preschool Grey worked patiently on a three-tier chandelier and shared with us their beautiful drawings and invited us to create our own light murals, inspired by the Northern Lights.

Our Atelerista Chris Cameron shared an insight into the diverse interests of the children, showcasing a magical fairy house that the children built along with a beautiful dinosaur mural created using mixed media.

Thank you to all our wonderful Hampshire House families for attending our art show and supporting our children’s creativity.
