This weekend at Lake Weeroona in Bendigo, returning rowers started off the season with a bang. It was a busy day, with all rowers competing in multiple events.

- First boys, Harry, Hugo, Ben, Henry and Jake, put in two strong races in both A and B Grade Quad divisions
- Senior rower Adam competed in the single, placing third, rowed in the quad, and won the heat with Rupert in the double.
- Jono and Archie, our seasoned junior rowers, competed in a single, double and quad.
- A new rower, Teddy, rowed in a double and a quad quad.
- Returning rower Phoebe rowed in the mixed quad, double and mixed double.
- Harry and Henry rowed in the double.
- Hugo and Ben each rowed a single.
All of our rowers, new and returning, put in great performances and we are looking strong for Dimboola on 9 November. Thank you to all the parents and friends who supported the day, and a special thank you to coaches Ben and Jane Young, Darcy Walker, and Gill Russell.
All rowers must complete the coxswain course on 7 November. The course outlines the role of a coxswain and safety precautions and procedures. By completing this course, all members of our club will be eligible to cox a boat in a race or at training.
Finally, rowing hoodies are available again this year - so get your order in soon.
